Aurelian Honor Society

Founded in 1910, Aurelian selects 16 seniors as society delegates each year who promote scholarship and service on the Yale campus. In 1952, Aurelian Honor Society, Inc. was established as a 501(c)(3) educational organization, supporting the activities of the current delegation and promoting a range of philanthropic initiatives.

With generous contributions from our alumni and the result on our 70-year investment in the Yale Endowment, The Aurelian Honor Society has the ability to support our Delegations during their current year and provide scholarships and prizes at Yale and elsewhere.

The Aurelian Scholarship

The Robert H. O’Connor Aurelian Scholarship is funded through the generous donations of our alumni. Administered by Yale, it is awarded annually to a senior student.

The Book Prize

The Aurelian Book Prize is given annually at over twenty secondary schools in the United States. The recipient is selected for their leadership, scholarship, and character.

The Aurelian Bioethics Stipend supports one individual’s participation in the Sherwin B. Nuland Summer Institute of the Yale’s Interdisciplinary Center for Bioethics.

For Humanity

For Humanity

In 2020, Yale announced a six-year commitment to increase the university’s financial contributions to New Haven called “For Humanity.” The Society is proud to make an annual gift to this effort.
